This month's challenge is Local Patterns, Shapes and Textures. Our area this time is Hastings and 1066 Country plus the stretch of countryside up to and including Dungeness. To make it more of a real 'challenge' we have decided to only allow photos taken during the month of April.

'UNITED COLOURS OF HASTINGS' CHALLENGE WINNER

Congratulations go out to Lin Gregory (Light-Worker) for winning our United Colours of Hastings challenge with her excellent Beach Huts shot. Lin also won the unofficial vote with her Marina Reflections on the Channel Hastings website!!

Our 'United Colours of Hastings' Challenge is now (sadly) closed and we have over 160 entries. The official vote is open to everybody i.e. Flickrites and non-Flickrites and will take place on Sunday 6 April on Hastings Pier. The voting is open from 11am to 4pm and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

Our 'United Colours of Hastings' Challenge is now (sadly) coming to a close and we have approximately 150 entries. The official vote is open to everybody i.e. Flickrites and non-Flickrites and will take place on Sunday 6 April in a public place in Hastings/St Leonards.

In the meantime, the unofficial voting is currently taking place online. If you find a photo that you really like, then show your support and vote for it! Remember this is only supposed to be a bit of fun and does NOT count towards the official vote

Control is directed by acclaimed music photographer Anton Corbijn and is the story of the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis’s life, from the band’s rise to fame to his tragic suicide.
