Moustaches by Andy Wilson

Moustaches
"On the second day of Lomokev's Hotshots course we were asked to think of a personal project we could shoot in a couple of hours. I was going to do something cliched like "shopfronts" but at the last minute I decide to challenge myself a bit more. I've been growing a 'tache for charity, and I thought I'd use it to help me get over my fear of asking strangers for permission to photograph them by taking a set of moustachoid gentlemen. (I wasn't going to restrict it to men but I thought some ladies might get offended if I asked to photograph their moustaches)

In the end the biggest problem was spotting people with lip-fuzz on a cold, damp Saturday afternoon around George Street, but I only had one refusal so was quite pleased with myself." Andy Wilson
