Front Row Fashion Show by A Roving Eye
"The Front Row Fashion Show was my first experience of a catwalk themed evening. I got there with ample time to spare to check out the venue re: lighting, best viewing options and experimenting with shutter speed, aperture settings, etc.
I made a loose agreement with Tezzr that when the show began he would nail most of the head on catwalk shots with his prime 50mm lens, whilst I would go wandering with my wide angle, telephoto and fish-eye lens. Though ultimately I found out the best shots are to be had at stage level directly facing the catwalk, so after twenty minutes I perched myself in front of Tezzr. So if anyone taking on a similar task my advice would be, obtain position at stage level facing catwalk, ideally have a 70 200mm lens, set your shutter speed to around 1/200 sec, aperture at F4 and raise your iso until exposure looks balanced.
Finally congrats to all involved in the Front Row Fashion Show, good positive vibe existed all evening..." A Roving Eye
