Art is the Window to Man's Soul...by Lin Gregory

Art is the window to man's soul...
"I was out on the Channel Hastings summer picnic walk through Bedgebury Pinetum and visited the disused wood shed. It was very dark in there and I found it difficult to get any good inside shots without using a high ISO, which would produce a lot of noise on the image. I saw the potential of this particular composition as a natural triptych and was drawn by the vibrancy of the newly unfurled fern leaves. I set the camera on 2.8 aperture to blur the background and a shutter speed of 30th sec to try and retain some of the detail of the frame as well as keep the shot sharp. It certainly made the extra walk worthwhile at the end of a long days rambling." Lin Gregory
